Planning a wedding or event can be superrr stressful, and I don't want to add to your list!

Where do you work?

One of the best things about booking a celebrant is that we can go anywhere, anytime, any way you like - and I mean it!

I’m based in the UK but I travel all over to create unforgettable ceremonies. Whether it's a wild woodland elopement, a city rooftop celebration, a beach, a pub, your nan’s back garden or a castle in the clouds - I’m there.

I also work abroad, so if you’re planning a destination wedding or an adventure-filled elopement somewhere sunny (or snowy!), count me in.

Do you only work with LGBTQ+ couples?

Absolutely not! I work with anyone who believes in love, inclusivity, and celebrating people for exactly who they are. Whether you’re Queer, an ally, or just someone who wants a ceremony that feels truly personal, I’m here for it - and for you.

That said, you’ll notice I often use the word Queer to describe both myself and the ceremonies I offer. I use it because I find it wonderfully broad and inclusive - it reflects the full spectrum of identities and experiences within the LGBTQ+ community. For me, it’s a word of pride, celebration, and belonging.

But I completely understand that not everyone feels the same way. Queer has been used in hurtful ways for some, and if you’d prefer I use different language when we work together, just let me know - I’ll always adapt to what feels right for you.

How far in advance should we book you?

If you’ve got a date in mind - get in touch as soon as you can! Popular weekends (especially spring to autumn) get snapped up quickly, sometimes a year or more in advance.

That said, it’s always worth checking - I sometimes have cancellations or wiggle room for last-minute ceremonies, especially midweek or off-season. So whether you’re super organised or flying by the seat of your party pants, pop me a message and I’ll see what’s possible!

What’s the process of working with you?

Working with me is all about making your ceremony as smooth and special as possible. Here’s how it typically goes:

‍Initial Chat: We’ll kick things off with a friendly consultation to get to know each other and dive into your vision, wedding theme, and any special rituals or requests you want for your ceremony. Cocktails and Mocktails are equally encouraged!

‍We’re a Match! If we're a match and you want to continue working with me, we do a little happy dance to celebrate! Shortly after this, you’ll receive a couples questionnaire to complete that helps me get to know you even better and kick start your script writing.

‍Proposal and Agreement: I’ll then send over a detailed proposal outlining everything we’ve discussed. Once you’re happy with the plan, we’ll finalise everything with a simple contract to lock in your date and details.

‍Planning Sessions: We’ll have several planning sessions (in-person or online) to shape the script, map out the vibe, and go through the practical bits. I’ll always try to visit your venue ahead of time and, where possible, meet anyone playing an important role in the day.

I build my ceremonies based on the way you look at each other, how you show love, and all the tiny things that make your relationship yours. I take time to get to know you properly: how you met, what makes you laugh, how you communicate. Your love language is a huge part of what I try to capture in the ceremony.

If you need it, I also support you with writing your vows. We can meet one-on-one to brainstorm, refine, or even rehearse them - no awkward clichés, just working it out until you don't feel sick!

‍Rehearsal (Optional, but recommended): If you’d like, we can schedule a rehearsal to walk through the ceremony and iron out any last-minute details, ensuring everything flows seamlessly on the big day.

‍Ceremony Day: On the day of your ceremony, I’ll arrive early to set up and make sure everything is just right before you and your guests arrive.

‍After the Ceremony: Once the ceremony is complete, I’ll ensure a seamless transition to the next phase of your celebration, whether it’s the reception, a photo session, or another planned activity. I’ll also provide you with a beautifully presented box containing a copy of your bespoke ceremony script and any certificates or keepsakes from the day, so you can focus on celebrating your special moment.

How much do you charge?

Ceremonies: My signature, bespoke ceremonies are £1200. There is a £150 Save The Date deposit taken at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 12 weeks before your ceremony.

Are you pet friendly?

Yes - and then some!

I’m pet friendly, neurospicy friendly, kid friendly, grandparent friendly, queer friendly, disabled friendly… Basically, if they matter to you, they matter to me.

Whether your dog’s your ring bearer, your cat’s supervising from the sidelines, or your emotional support fur-baby needs a front-row seat - I’m here for it. Your ceremony should feel like a safe, joyful, and inclusive space for everyone you love.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! I’m fully insured with Hiscox, which means all the boring-but-important stuff is covered - so you can relax and enjoy your day knowing you're in safe hands. Your venue can send me a certificate request whenever it's needed.

What’s the difference between a registrar and a celebrant?

A registrar is employed by the local council and legally registers your marriage - but they’re limited in what they can say, do, or where the ceremony can take place. It’s often a bit more “tick-box” and less personal.

A celebrant (that’s me!) creates and delivers a ceremony that’s totally bespoke - crafted around you, your story, and your vibes. We can include readings, rituals, laughs, tears, singing, dancing - whatever makes your hearts happy. You’ll usually still need to do the legal bit at the registry office before or after, but your celebrant-led ceremony is where the magic really happens.

Are Celebrant ceremonies legally binding in the UK?

Not yet - but we’re working on it!

In the UK, celebrant-led ceremonies (like weddings) aren’t legally recognised just yet. That means if you want your marriage to be official on paper, you’ll need to do the legal bit separately at a register office or licensed venue. It’s usually around £60 and takes about 15 minutes - quick, simple, and honestly a bit admin-y.
